Photo from UNIAN Ukrainian banks in 2018 reduced the number of their operating structural units by 980, to 8,509 branches as of January 1, 2019. In particular, state-run Oschadbank closed the largest number of branches in 2018, namely 575 units, while PrivatBank shut down 222 units and Ukrsotsbank – 178 units, according to the report posted on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). As reported, Alfa-Bank is in the lead with 65 branches opened, then come TAScombank (32) and Ukrbudinvestbank (20). As of January 1, 2019, Oschadbank had the largest network of branches in Ukraine (2,630 units). It is followed by PrivatBank (2,021) and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (503).
