On January 22, the City Council allocated an 18 hectares land plot to the enterprise construction of the solar power station, the official said. "We supported the project as it provides for attracting investment in the Mena community and new jobs," she said. In turn, Mena mayor Hennadiy Prymakov confirmed the report on his Facebook page, adding that 20 jobs will be created in the community. The company has been operating since 2009. The mayor added that the solar power plant would be located near the Mena-2 electrical substation. "Nearby, according to the general plan, it is planned to build an industrial park – a potential electricity consumer," he added.
