"National Nuclear Energy Generating Company &#39;Energoatom&#39; and JSC Turboatom, as part of the import substitution program, have concluded an agreement on the purchase of a [turbine] condenser for Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plant&#39;s unit No. 3," Energoatom&#39;s press service said in a statement on February 18. The agreement is significant for both companies as it concerns import substitution of Russian components installed at units of Ukrainian NPPs. "Now there are five 1 GWe reactor turbines in Ukraine. And Turboatom assumes all obligations for their modernization and maintenance," the press service quoted Turboatom CEO Viktor Subbotin as saying.
