The amount of public and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in January increased by UAH 3.50 billion in hryvnia equivalent, or 0.2%, up to UAH 2.172 trillion, the Ministry of Finance reports.

In dollar equivalent, the debt was down $600 million, or 0.1%, to $78.25 billion, according to the ministry's website.

UNIAN memo. The volume of public and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2018 increased in dollar equivalent by $2.02 billion, or 2.6%, to $78.32 billion. In hryvnia equivalent, the volume of public debt for the said period rose UAH 26.94 billion, or 1.3%, up to UAH 2.169 trillion.

In relation to GDP, public and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2018 decreased to about 62.7% from 71.8% in 2017.
