Photo from UNAN The Ukrainian Food Export Board (UFEB) says wheat flour exports from Ukraine in January-March 2019 (Q1) shrank by 23% year-over-year (y-o-y) to 84,200 tonnes. "In the first quarter of this year, Ukrainian companies exported 84,200 tonnes of wheat flour to foreign markets, which was 23%, or 25,400 tonnes, less than during the same period last year," the UFEB&#39;s press service said on April 17. Read alsoUkraine exports over 40 mln tonnes of grain since July 1 According to experts, the major buyers of Ukrainian wheat flour over the period under review were China with a 15.6% share in the total export structure, the United Arab Emirates (14.4%), and Singapore (12.2%). In January-February 2019, the total flour production in Ukraine fell by 12.4% y-o-y, to 141,000 tonnes, the press service added. As UNIAN reported earlier, in the 2017-2018 marketing year (MY, July 2017-June 2018), the shipments of Ukrainian flour abroad totaled 412,600 tonnes.
