REUTERS State-run Ukroboronprom Concern will participate in the ammunition program of Azerbaijan, in particular, in the production of individual components for ground artillery ammunition. The relevant agreement was signed during a meeting between Ukroboronprom CEO Pavlo Bukin and Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Republic Yahya Musayev, according to the concern&#39;s press service. The meeting took place in the framework of the IDEF-2019 international exhibition, which takes place in Istanbul. "The issues of concern&#39;s participation in the ammunition program of Azerbaijan were discussed. In particular, the production of individual components to the ammunition of ground artillery. This is due to the fact that Ukroboronprom has all necessary production technologies and industrial capacities," reads the report. Ukroboronprom showed interest in acquiring ammunition and melee weapons in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani side also informed the Ukrainian representatives about the creation of the defense concern Azesilah on the basis of the defense ministry of their country. This decision was made, taking into account modern requirements, which differ from those of the times when the above-mentioned department was created. The emergence of such a company improves the structure of the national defense industry, allows attracting investments, achieving decision-making mobility and greater management flexibility, the report reads. Indeed, unlike the ministry, the principles of managing a state corporation are more efficient, which facilitates possibilities of attracting investments.
