It is planned to increase the authorized capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy by means of issuance of bonds to a total of UAH 31.5 billion.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the average yield on treasury securities amounts to 14.5% per annum.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the government of Ukraine decided to increase the authorized capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy by UAH 31.5 billion through issuing T-bills to pay for imported gas.
According to the cabinet’s decision, the securities are to be issued with maturities of up to 10 years and yields of 14.5% per annum.
In August 2014, Naftogaz was further capitalized by UAH 63.272 billion through an issue of T-bills.
Most of the proceeds were spent on purchase and provisioning $3.1 billion on the accounts of Naftogaz for the repayment of outstanding debts to Russia’s Gazprom.
