Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis has said Ukraine will get EUR 500 million within the fourth EU macro-financial assistance program as soon as the relevant requirements for its receipt have been met.

"The European Union will finalize the consideration of the issue of providing Ukraine with the second tranche in the amount of EUR 500 million within the fourth EU macro-financial assistance program as soon as the relevant requirements for its receipt are met by the Ukrainian side," he said, following the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels on June 4, the Ukrainian presidential press service has reported.

Zelensky assured Ukraine would adhere to its international obligations, in particular in relations with international financial institutions. In this regard, the European side was informed of the results of the meeting between the president and the representatives of the International Monetary Fund, during which the parties agreed on further steps in cooperation with the Fund.
