REUTERS Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii says the regulator intends to continue upholding the decision taken in 2016 on the nationalization of PrivatBank, which is now undergoing litigation. I&#39;m sure that all decisions made in 2016 were legal. All actions by the National Bank, the Finance Ministry and the Deposit Guarantee Fund were carried out in the manner prescribed by law. We are sure of it and we will constantly protect the state interests," he told journalists on June 25. Smolii also mentioned the April decision of the court to declare the NBU&#39;s decision to withdraw PrivatBank from the market with the participation of the state as illegal.
