Ukraine's State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service says Ukraine and Japan have approved a veterinary certificate for shipments of poultry meat from Ukraine.

"The respective authorities of Ukraine and Japan have approved an international veterinary certificate for exports of poultry meat from Ukraine to Japan," the Ukrainian agency's press service said in a statement on August 21.

The sides also discussed veterinary requirements to ensure shipments of Ukrainian poultry to Japan.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a Japanese mission to assess Ukraine's state control system overseeing the exports of poultry and products made of it was working in Ukraine on July 16-23, 2018.
