In 2020, we plan [to allocate] UAH 245.8 billion to various agencies that are involved in security and defense sectors," she told a briefing after a government meeting on September 15. The minister added that not the entire sum had been redistributed among spending agencies, as a new article had been added to the draft national budget for 2020 and its funds should be redistributed by the National Security and Defense Council. As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian government provided for UAH 209.5 billion (US$8.5 billion) for security and defense in the national budget for 2019.
