Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine is interested in the supplies of Caspian gas via Turkey.
"The issues of diversifying energy supplies are important to us," he said following a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kyiv on Monday. "We've have discussed the possibility of transporting Caspian gas by the TANAP pipeline through the relevant connectors to Ukraine."

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine in 2019 increased gas imports by 34.4%, to 14 billion cubic meters (bcm). In particular, in the 12 months of 2019, Ukraine imported 9.15 bcm of gas through the Slovak gas transport corridor, as well as bought 1.4 bcm from Poland and 3.67 bcm from Hungary, respectively.
