Consumer inflation in Ukraine in February 2020 was 2.4% year-over-year (against 3.2% in January 2020).

Consumer prices in February 2020 compared to January 2020 were 0.3% down, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said.

Prices of natural gas fell by 31.3%, those of eggs by 27.7%, vegetables by 14.3%, fuel and lubricants by 6.1%, shoes and clothes by 4.1%.

Yet, the highest increase in February 2020 against January 2020 was registered in tariffs on water services (25.8%), sewerage services (21.6%), education services (13.3%), prices of alcohol and tobacco (12.1%), as well as prices of fruit (11.9%), it said.

The State Statistics Service says its report does not include data from Russia-occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
