PM on quarantine measures: Ukraine can't stay idle for six months

"We&#39;re very well aware that many people, the majority of the Ukrainian population have no financial cushion, and there is no way for them to just stay at home for three months. People need to earn. Economy needs to be restarted. Also, Ukraine is not that rich of a country that could afford to stay idle for six months and watch TV on the couch," the prime minister said. At the same time, after the Easter holidays, given the dynamics of the spread of the disease, a question will be raised on further economic steps the Cabinet should take. As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 25, the Cabinet of Ministers extended quarantine until April 24, and introduced an emergency situation regime throughout the country. Under strict quarantine, 57% of Ukrainians will run out of money in four weeks or less, 6.9% have savings for several days, and 6.3% – for six months or more.
