The ten largest importers of Ukrainian agricultural products included four countries from the European Union (Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland with $1.1 billion worth of food imports from Ukraine), three countries from Asia (China, India, Turkey with $1.8 billion), one from Africa (Egypt with $630.6 million), the Middle East (Iran with $350.2 million) and the CIS countries (Belarus with $186.9 million), Novoe Vremya observer Oleksandr Paskhover wrote in an article titled "Feeding China."

"These top 10 countries account for 57% of total exports of farm produce from Ukraine. Russia is no longer there, and China instead has become the largest consumer of foods from Ukraine – it has already bought Ukrainian products worth $889 million," the article reads.

In the past year, farm produce exports from Ukraine to Russia plunged to a historic low of $416.7 million from $1.6 billion.
