Ukraine transfers $136 mln to Russia for gas

"They [Naftogaz] has sent Gazprom another $136 million," he said on Tuesday.

In his words, the total amount of payments for gas to Gazprom in October will be about $500 million, which had previously been booked by the government for the purchase of Russian gas.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry on October 12, 2015, announced the resumption of Russian gas shipments to Ukraine after a many months' break.

The amount of daily shipments was 114 million cubic meters of gas on the average. Naftogaz transferred $234 million to Gazprom as prepayment then.
