According to the ministry, the public debt and debt guaranteed by the state in the hryvnia equivalent grew by UAH 26.486 billion in September, or 1.77%, to UAH 1.521 trillion.
Since the beginning of the year the public debt in the hryvnia equivalent increased 38.2%, and was up 1.2% in dollar terms.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the total public and state guaranteed debt of Ukraine as of August 31, 2015, amounted to $70.562 billion, up by 1.07%, or $750 million, since year's start. The total amount of public and state guaranteed debt in the hryvnia equivalent increased in January-August by UAH 394.059 billion, or by 35.8%, to UAH 1.494 trillion.
In 2014, the public and state guaranteed debt shrank by 4.53% to $69.811 billion, but increased by 1.9 times in the hryvnia equivalent to UAH 1.101 trillion.
