
The relations between Russia and Turkey have deteriorated sharply after the downing of the Russian Su-24 bomber by the Turkish Air Force on November 24 after violating its airspace.
From January 1, 2016 Russia banned imports of a number of products from Turkey, cancelled a visa-free regime between the two countries, and imposed restrictions on employment of Turkish citizens.
