"For the first time the [Ukrainian national] budget foresees funding for our brotherly Crimean Tatar people," Yatsenyuk said during the "10 Minutes with the Prime Minister" weekly program broadcast by major TV channels on Sunday evening.

"We are entering the year 2016 with the main financial document of the country. This document projects economic growth at 2%. Twice during the year the government will raise social standards for citizens: a combined increase will be 12%. The first time the social standards will be raised in May, the second time in December. Raising these social standards will make it possible for citizens to compensate price hikes and increased tariffs, which are scheduled to grow next year," Yatsenyuk said.

The premier also boasted that funds both on "the printing of Ukrainian books and high-quality popular Ukrainian movies" have been allocated in the 2016 budget.
