NBU head skeptical about UAH 17 bln from privatization, says UAH 1 bln realistic

"The budget foresees the equivalent of UAH 17 billion in receipts from privatization. We see it realistically somewhere at UAH 1 billion this year if one speaks about the privatization," she said.

In her words, the regulator is waiting for the launch of large-scale privatization, which will facilitate foreign direct investment in Ukraine, which in its turn increase foreign currency offers on the market and the NBU will be able to buy foreign currency to replenish its reserves.

"As soon as we switch from words to deeds, you all will see our reserves growing and the situation stabilizing," she added.
