NBU sells $15 mln to banks on Feb 29

Banks submitted bids to buy a total of $19.8 million, the NBU said on its website.

The average weighted rate at the auction was UAH 27.0866 per U.S. dollar, currency sold at the minimum rate set at UAH 27.05 per U.S. dollar accounted for 28% of the sales on that day.

As UNIAN reported earlier, quotations of the hryvnia against U.S. dollar on the interbank forex market as of the middle of trading on February 29 were UAH 27.07-27.17 per U.S. dollar. The average weighted rate by noon was UAH 27.1339 per U.S. dollar, the NBU said.
