Japan to allocate almost $14 mln for re-building Ukraine's east

"I would like to thank the government of Japan and Mr. Prime Minister for provision of financial, technical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine," Poroshenko said.

In particular, the Ukrainian president said he appreciated Japan's decision to provide a new tranche of humanitarian aid to the tune of $13.6 million for re-building the eastern regions in Ukraine.

"Ukraine is a major beneficiary of Japan's financial assistance," Poroshenko added.
