
"We have had a meeting with the Ambassador of Iran, the Iranian side expressed great interest in transporting Iranian oil through the Yuzhny [terminal] of the Odesa-Brody [pipeline] as it is the best logistic way," the minister said at a government meeting.
At the negotiations, the parties agreed to conclude specific agreements within two months and visit all potential facilities that could be used for the project, Nasalyk added.
First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, who was also present at the meeting, noted that Ukraine and Iran had outlined their cooperation prospects in a memorandum of understanding, which was signed in March this year during a visit of Ukrainian government's delegates to Iran. According to Kubiv, the two countries have a wide range of mutual interests, including agriculture, engineering, mining, hydropower development, metallurgy, aviation, and railway car building.
