Exports of goods from Ukraine in the period under review amounted to $9.915 billion, which is lower by 15% compared to the same period last year. Imports decreased by 10.5% to $11.621 billion, the NBU said on its website.

The data is presented excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in eastern Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in the first quarter of 2016 amounted to $1.6 billion, which was 40.7% higher on a deficit of $1.1 billion in the same period last year.
