A corresponding government-proposed bill No.4594 On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine On the list of objects of state property not subject to privatization  was supported by 250 deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes.

According to the explanatory memorandum, the law is aimed at retaining 100% of Ukrzaliznytsia shares in state ownership and ensuring Ukraine’s economic security.

He also stated that only a sale of non-core assets of the state-owned company will be potentially considered to be sold.
