The project seeks to promote best practices of urban development of participants in the Leipzig Charter on Sustainable European Cities and implement them in four Ukrainian cities selected for the project, namely Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Poltava, and Chernivtsi, Zubko said.

"It is very important to implement the best practices of the Leipzig Charter participant cities in the Ukrainian cities," he said.

The funding worth EUR 5.85 million will be provided by Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. In addition, EUR 200,000 in-kind contribution will be allocated for the mentioned cities, namely by providing free-of-cost office space.
