Exports of goods from Ukraine in the period under review amounted to $12.550 billion, down by 12.7% compared to the same period last year. Imports decreased by 10.2% to $14.303 billion, the NBU said on its website.

The data is presented excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in eastern Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in January-April 2016 amounted to $1.706 billion, which was 28.9% higher than a deficit of $1.324 billion in the same period in 2015.
