"Ukraine has increased gas imports from Slovakia fourfold to 2 million cubic meters per day," Bilyavskiy wrote on Facebook.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine has not purchased gas from the Russian energy giant Gazprom for 231 consecutive days.

At the conclusion of the 2015-2016 heating season, Ukraine stopped taking gas from its underground reserves from April 7 and started refilling the storage facilities.
