These companies have the right to take part in tenders to supply gas to Naftogaz, at the expense of the EBRD, the state-run monopoly said July 15, naturalgaseurope.com reported.

A revolving credit line from the EBRD allows Naftogaz to spend up to $300 million on purchasing gas from European suppliers, as an alternative to gas from Russia.

Two companies have been prequalified unconditionally: Cez from the Czech Republic and French major Engie.
