Ukraine reduces gas imports in July by nearly 32%

Natural gas imports in Ukraine were undertaken by five companies during the period.

"Gas supplies over the last 248 days have been carried out solely from Europe," the press service said.

Subsequently, last year, Ukraine doubled its natural gas imports from Europe to 10.3 billion cubic meters (bcm), compared with 2014, while reducing purchases of hydrocarbons from the Russian Federation by 2.3 times.

According to the State Statistics Service, in 2015, Ukraine imported 16.4 bcm of gas, down by 15.8% from 2014.
