The statement was made during the Ukrainian-German Business Forum which is held in Kyiv.

Machnig said it was necessary to carry out the land reform to enable the entry of foreign investors to Ukraine, create the possibility to buy land and safely operate on it.

He also noted that the German government's investment in Ukraine would focus on the country's energy sector with the aim of enhancing the energy efficiency. At this, Machnig said that a significant increase in investments will depend on Ukraine's continued implementation of its reform program.
