The average nominal salary of a full-time employee in Ukraine was UAH 6,209 in February 2017, which was 3.3% up from January 2017 and 35.4% higher y-o-y. This value is 1.9 times higher than the minimum wage in Ukraine estimated at UAH 3,200. In the industrial sector, the highest average salary of UAH 12,709 was paid to full-time employees involved in the production of basic pharmaceuticals. In January 2017, the lowest average salary of UAH 3,369 was reported in the field of postal and courier activities. The data does not include information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone. As UNIAN reported earlier, real wages in Ukraine in 2016 exceeded by 11.6% the indicator of 2015. The average nominal salary of a full-time employee in December 2016 increased by 19.8% against November, amounting to UAH 6,475.
