Global trends also contribute to growth of flour exports. The world’s demand for flour has increased 15-20% over the last 4-5 years. Noteworthy is that imports are rising in Sub-Saharan African countries, the promising destinations for Ukrainian flour, according to UkrAgroConsult.

At the same time, flour exports from Ukraine continue expanding against the background of its gradually shrinking flour production over the recent years.

Flour production in Ukraine fell by 4.3% in 2016. This season’s flour exports from Ukraine are already up 18% year-on-year.
