The official says that the schools are already obliged to make public financial statements concerning the institutions' monetary receipts and expenditures, regardless of whether it is state funds or charitable contributions from parents, Ukrayinska Pravda wrote.

"Transparent financial statements, first of all, will help us assess how much real money the Ukrainian society is investing in school education, and what is the share of the shadow education budget. Secondly, it will finally give the parents a transparent picture of what they are spending money for," Hrynevych said at a meeting with the regional education departments on October 3.

The meeting participants consider that it is enough time to ensure compliance with the rule of law before December 1, 2017.
