Ukrainian farmers are completing the autumn sowing campaign.
That's according to a report by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture.
"As of November 30, Ukrainian agricultural producers have sown the main winter crops on an area of almost 8 million hectares (97% of the forecast).
In particular, 81,600 hectares have been completed over the week," the message says.

Winter wheat has been sown on an area of 6.03 million hectares (99% of the forecast), barley – on 939,300 hectares (99%), rye – on 123,900 hectares (93%), and rapeseed – on 880,400 hectares (87%).
Sowing campaign: winter cereals
- As of October 5, 2020, Ukrainian farmers have sown winter crops on 3.86 million hectares, or 47% of the target area.
- As of November 9, 2020, Ukrainian agricultural producers have sown major winter crops on an area of almost 7.7 million hectares (94% of the forecast).
- The economy ministry's outlook lays down the 2020 harvest of grain and leguminous crops at 68 million tonnes and oilseeds – at 20 million tonnes.
- According to the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Businesses, the area for the 2021 winter crops has decreased: winter wheat – by 9%, rye – by 11%, and rapeseed – by 30%.
