REUTERS Chairman of the Servant of the People faction in Ukraine&#39;s parliament David Arakhamia says a bill that legalizes gambling may be put to the vote in a week. "I hope we will put it to the vote in a week and legalize this business," he told a Ukrainian TV channel, according to an UNIAN correspondent. Arakhamia said 3,500 amendments to the bill had been submitted, and it is necessary to hold several meetings of the relevant committee for their consideration. The relevant bill on state regulation of activities regarding the organization and conduct of gambling (No. 2285-d) was backed by 260 lawmakers with the required minimum being 226 votes. The bill introduces an exclusive list of gambling activities allowed in Ukraine, namely the organization and conduct of gambling in casinos and online; organization and conduct of betting at bookmaker&#39;s facilities and online; lottery issuing and holding; and organizing and conducting online poker games. On May 18, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov said the bill could be considered in early June.
