The foreign trade balance of Ukraine for January-December 2020 was reduced with a deficit of $255.5 million.

That's against $3.689 billion recorded late 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.

Imports of goods and services in 2020 decreased by 12.5% ​​on year, to $59.298 billion, while exports were down 7.8%, to $59.042 billion.

The State Statistics Service said Ukraine's foreign trade balance for 2019 was 41.2% lower than the deficit for 2018.

The National Bank reported, the balance of foreign trade in goods and services for 2019 was reduced with a deficit of $12.117 billion, which is 7% more than the previous earlier.

As of February 1, 2021, the balance of foreign trade in goods and services of Ukraine for 2020 was reduced with a deficit of $1.677 billion against a $12.5 billion deficit a year earlier.
