Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) grew by 2.6%, to 26.07 billion cubic meters (bcm) within a week, from August 30 to September 5.

As of September 5, 2020, gas reserves in the country's USFs increased by 39% from 18.8 bcm as of September 5, 2019, state-run LLC Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) said.

The USFs were filled by 84.1% as of September 5, 2020.
Background:
- Ukraine started the season of pumping natural gas into its USFs on March 11, when the country's gas reserves there were 15.808 bcm.
- By the start of the 2019-2020 heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of gas in its USFs, which was a record high figure in the past decade.
