Azov activists immuring Russian Sberbank subsidiary's office in Kyiv (photo)
Members of the Azov civil corps are muring up with concrete blocks the office of the Sberbank of Russia subsidiary's branch located on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
The activists have staged a "muring up" of the entrance to the premises of the financial institution, blocking the approaches to the building. In turn, bank employees have downed the shutters from the inside.
Dozens of ATMs of Russian banks vandalized in Ukraine (photo)The activists demand that the banking license of the financial institution in Ukraine be revoked stressing that Donbas terrorists are funded from the Russian budget, while Sberbank injects money into the budget of the Russian Federation.
As UNIAN reported, last week, Sberbank of Russia, the key owner of which is the central bank of the Russian Federation, claimed that it observed international legislation and laws of Ukraine.
UNIAN memo. Activists of the ongoing campaign are demanding the ban on operations in Ukraine of Russian banks: VTB Bank, Sberbank of Russia, and Prominvestbank.
The National Bank of Ukraine said that it's only the Verkhovna Rada and the National Security and Defense Council who have the authority to limit the presence of Russian capital in Ukraine.
