The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the construction of a high-speed railway line between the city of Kyiv and Ukraine's largest state-owned international Boryspil Airport located outside the capital, in the town of Boryspil, Kyiv region.

The document provides for the construction by Public Joint-Stock Company Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) of a high-speed railway line towards Boryspil Airport.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia will build the railway line worth about UAH 600-700 million ($22.7-26.5 million) from Kyiv-Passazhyrsky railway station to Boryspil International Airport, at its own expense. The amount includes the cost of repairs to rolling stock that will be used there.
