Kyiv Mayor Klitschko tells about penalties for quarantine violators

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has elaborated on the penalties violators of quarantine rules or mandatory observation are now facing.

"Liability for violation of the quarantine regime, self-isolation, or observation, will be as follows: UAH 17,000 [US$606] fine for first violation and UAH 34,000 [US$1,212] for second violation. Well, those who don't understand the situation at all and break the rules for the third time shall be subject to criminal liability," Klitschko told a briefing on March 31.

The Kyiv City State Administration earlier said it planned to fine quarantine violators in the range from UAH 1,700 (US$61) to UAH 3,400 (US$121).
