Subway traffic in the capital city of Kyiv may resume on May 8 or May 9 when there is no significant load on the underground railway system.
As for the termination of quarantine or its substantial easing – for example, the resumption of public transportation, in particular, subway traffic – this issue will be considered after the May holidays, a source close to the government told the Ukrainian-registered Apostrophe online media outlet.
"If there is no epidemic outbreak, two options will be considered, namely a significant quarantine easing or its complete termination. The main issue is the relaunch of public transport so that we could reach working mode by mid-May," the source said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Wednesday said restrictive and quarantine-related measures introduced in Ukraine until April 24 were likely to be extended.
