Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 67 in the past day.

"In the past day, another 67 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus," he said on Telegram on July 12.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 6,182.

According to Klitschko, 28 women aged 18 to 82 and 34 men aged 19 to 73 among those infected.

In addition, three girls (three, seven and thirteen years old) and two boys (twelve and fourteen years old) tested positive for the coronavirus.

There were two healthcare workers among the new cases.

Klitschko said 11 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.

In total, 2,058 Kyiv residents have already recovered. The highest number of the new cases in the city was registered in Dniprovsky district (14), Solomyansky district (13), and Sviatoshynsky district (9).

The death toll in Kyiv is 124 people as of today.

As UNIAN reported earlier, 678 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 53,521 as of the morning of July 12.
