Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 77 in the past day.

"In the past day, another 77 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus. There were 15 healthcare workers among them," he said on Telegram on June 4.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 3,210.

According to Klitschko, 39 women aged 22 to 78 and 26 men aged 24 to 82 are among those infected. In addition, nine girls (from one to 17 years old) and three boys (one of them is two years old, and others are aged 13) tested positive for the coronavirus.

Klitschko said 11 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors.

The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Darnytsia district (15), Podilsky district (12), and Shevchenkivsky district (10).

Ninety-three people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.

In total, 849 Kyiv residents have already recovered.

As UNIAN reported earlier, as of 09:00 Kyiv time on June 4, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ukraine was 25,411; of them, 588 cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
