Head of the Main Department of Ukraine's State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service in the city of Kyiv Oleh Ruban has said the capital city will remain part of the orange quarantine zone until March 2021.

"Next week, we expect an increase in the ascertainment rate after students are back to universities, so the city of Kyiv will remain in the orange zone until March according to the most optimistic forecasts," he told the RBC Ukraine news agency.

"Today, the situation is stabilizing since the [summer] holiday period is nearing completion, and the incubation period for those who have been infected as of September 1 is over," he said.
