Kyiv to repair 60 municipal roads by year-end / Photo from UNIAN

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has announced about 60 municipal roads in the capital city will be repaired by the year-end.

He said about this in an interview for RFE/RL's Ukrainian service.

We will revamp about 60 streets this year. And each of them has been estimated with [a budget for] bike lanes," Klitschko said.

Renovation of Kyiv streets

  • On June 5, 2021, while addressing participants in a bicycle parade, Klitschko said the municipality continued working on the development of bicycle infrastructure.
  • He vowed to build over 100 kilometers of new bike lanes in the capital city in 2021.
