Kyiv authorities have allowed to resume the work of catering facilities, swimming pools, cinemas and theaters.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, the city authorities have issued an order to resume work of:

• Restaurants and cafes (without children's entertainment rooms);

• Swimming pools (individual training);

• Cinemas and theaters (with a limited number of visitors and social distancing rules in place); and

• Holding cultural and art events hosting up to 10 people.

"The Commission for Emergency Situations has prescribed the rules and conditions under which these facilities may operate. At the same time, the city authorities will monitor the observance of the rules of work by all institutions," the mayor said.

"I emphasize: if the epidemiological situation worsens, Kyiv will return to restrictions. And this is not some boogeyman story. Today everyone must understand that we have to be careful! Comply with the elementary rules: face masks on public transport and in public, sanitizing, and social distancing," Klitschko stressed.
