Ukraine's capital city of Kyiv ranked first among European cities, occupying the eighth spot worldwide in terms of the number of high-rise buildings.

That is according to SkyscraperPage's ranking released on its website.

In total, there are 1,199 buildings above 35 meters (12 floors) in Kyiv. The runner up is London with 1,109 high-rise buildings.

New York tops the global ranking with 6,097 skyscrapers. Toronto (2,393) and Dubai (1574) complete the TOP 3.

The Russian capital city of Moscow took the 16th spot in the ranking with 550 high-rise buildings.

Uncompleted domestic construction projects

According to the official data provided by regional state administrations and the Kyiv City State Administration, 150 housing projects were considered problematic across the country as of October 1, 2019. Most of such projects are registered in Kyiv (51), Kyiv region (23), and Odesa region (14).
