More foreign currency bought than sold on Ukraine's cash market in Nov, first time since year-start

November 2020 purchases of cash foreign currency by Ukrainians through the banking system have exceeded such sales for the first time since the beginning of the year.

Thus, net purchases of foreign currency by Ukrainian households stood at US$127.76 million in November.

Hryvnia forex rate forecasts

• On September 15, 2020, experts of the ICU investment group predicted that the weakening of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar, which may be sold for UAH 29-30 per dollar by the end of the year, would be moderate.
• On September 24, 2020, experts said that the hryvnia forex rate might not exceed UAH 30 per dollar in the fourth quarter of 2020.
