Moscow court extends Savchenko arrest until February 13
Moscow's Basmanniy court on Monday ruled to extend the detention of the Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko until February 13.
According to an UNIAN correspondent in Russia, this decision was made by Judge Valentina Levashova. The meeting was held behind closed doors for about five hours.
Savchenko was not in court, and journalists were invited in only to hear the announcement of the court ruling.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 13 the Moscow court was to have considered a complaint by Savchenko over orders that she undergo a psychiatric examination.
But on the day in question Savchenko was not brought to court but instead sent to the Serbskiy Institute in Moscow to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, despite the appeal from her defense team.
